25th and 26th December

Lovely Christmas with Rob, Hannah and Arlo with Hannah’s family in the middle of nowhere in the stunningly beautiful Devon. Top company, top food, top time had by all, many thanks to Hannahs Mum for sharing her pretty cottage:)

Wednesday 27th December – walk ***** around Clayhanger – sunny.

Another good night in the van with fantastic views over the stunning Devon countryside, much colder now with a light covering of snow but after two days of rain it was nice to see wall to wall sunshine:) After breakfast we joined Rob, Hannah, Arlo, Marilyn and Elaine on a lovely 3 mile walk around Devon’s famous narrow lanes and boy is it hilly! The North facing hill still had snow, with fields of sheep and small woods it was a treat on the eye, we even came across four Al Paca’s but everything is so wet with water running down the lanes. Then after lunch when all the others headed for a family do Mag and I stayed in the cottage to relax.
We head for home tomorrow after a lovely break, might even get another sail at Portland too :)
